About Our School
Charles Bursch Elementary School has proudly served the Baldwin Park community for more than 75 years. Named in honor of Charles Bursch, a respected educator and former Baldwin Park School District superintendent, the school reflects his belief that every child deserves access to a quality education and the opportunity to succeed.
Since opening its doors in 1951, Bursch Elementary has been a cornerstone of the community, providing generations of students with a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment. Throughout its history, the school has remained committed to academic excellence while fostering strong partnerships among students, families, staff, and the community.
Over the decades, Bursch has grown and evolved to meet the changing needs of its students while maintaining its tradition of high expectations and a culture of care. Guided by the mission to "Ensure High Achievement for Every Child, Every Day," the school continues to empower students to become lifelong learners, responsible citizens, and future leaders.
Today, Bursch Elementary proudly honors its rich history while looking toward the future, building upon a legacy of excellence, community, and Bulldog pride that has defined the school for more than seven decades.
