Hello! My name is Ms. Calixto and I teach 4th grade at Bursch School. I am looking forward to an exciting year with Bursch Bulldogs who are “Anchored in Excellence” I have enjoyed teaching in the Baldwin Park Unified School District since 1989.  I am excited to be part of the Bursch NEU community. Room 9 will learn about my alma mater the University of Iowa Hawkeyes. This year Room 9 will continue becoming experts with our Chromebooks. Students will use Google Classroom, Docs, and Slides and have the opportunity to use their Chromebooks to research and create projects.  They will also access on-line learning through Connect Ed.  Students will continue to write narratives and will begin work on expository writing. They will also work together to learn and solve problems. Room 9 will be busy mastering their grade level standards all year. Go Hawks!
